Half-Dead 3: Steamy Valve

It looks like Valve is back at it again with tease its fan base about upcoming releases. Valve just stated that it has three big announcements. Their teaser site currently has a countdown, which ends on Monday. What these announcements are anyone’s guess, but the saying it has three is leading something to think it could be tied to its Half-Life or Left 4 Dead
franchises. Fans of the game have been eagerly waited for any news about Half-Life 3 or Left 4 Dead 3, and whenever the number three is linked to Valve they get excited. This is just another example on how good Valve is at marketing any or the games or projects.

It is widely known that Valve is expanded the Steam platform to the living room with the use of Big Picture mode. To use the mode, the player has to have their PC hooked up to their TV. Valve had stated before that it wished to get into the console market and bring Steam to a new market. These announcements could be just that, Valve expanding on their console and letting users take a peek at it. However, leave it to Valve to pull the strings on its users and tease them with the use of the number three. They have done this in the past with the number two, so it's fitting that they do it again.

I too am one of those fans excitedly waiting any word on Half-Life 3 or Left 4 Dead 3. At this point, Valve has my full attention, and I will be spamming refresh on the teaser website. If they go the route of releasing more details about their console project then I may be slightly disappointed, but then excited again about a dedicated console just for Steam.

Valve is one of those rare companies that can keep quiet for so long, then the instant they say something, the internet explodes. I hope Valve stays strong for a long time, and they keep releasing high quality games that are not watered down by constant sequels that constantly milk those cash cows. If you have never had the opportunity to play either Half-Life or Left 4 Dead, I highly recommend that you do so. Those games are the ones players will continue talking about until the world's end.
